WHAT IS URETHRAL DIVERTICULUM?

This is the dilatation of the urethra that causes urine stagnation.

SYMPTOMS OF URETHRAL DIVERTICULUM

Drainage of urine after urination, false urinary incontinence, infections, blood in the urine.

SURGICAL PROCEDURE

Open surgery to remove the dilated urethral wall and repair the urethra.

Duration: about 1 hour.

Use of urethral catheter for 7-15 days.
