Salvatore Sansalone

Born in Locri (RC) on August 1, 1971.

 

2001: Graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, with an experimental thesis entitled: “Psa Screening nel Carcinoma della Prostata."

2002: Enrolled in the Specialised School of Urology at the Urology Clinic at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, placing first in the admission examinations.

From November 2004 to Novembre 2005: Research Fellow at the Urology Department at the University of Belgrade (Serbia and Montenegro), directed by Prof. Sava Perovic.

From May to July 2006: Research Fellow at the Urology Department in Harburg, Hamburg (Germany), directed by Prof. Margit Fisch.

2006: Specialisation Certificate in Urology, with a mark of 50/50, distinction, and an experimental thesis entitled “Surgical Treatment of Urethral Stenosis” in collaboration with Prof. S. Perovic from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Belgrade (Serbia and Montenegro).

2007: Winner of a research grant for the duration of 15 months (from 01/07/2007 to 30/09/2008) with a research project called “Tissue engineering: Scaffolds biodegradable versus traditional surgery of the albuginea with an autologous venous graft”, University of Rome Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy.

From June to July 2008: frequently and actively visited the Centro Europeo per la Chirurgia Ricostruttiva dell’Uretra in Arezzo, directed by Prof. Guido Barbagli.

2008: Winner of a comparative evaluation with a position as a university researcher in the MED/24 Urology field.

2010: Level II Master in Andrology at the Sapienza University of Rome.
